    Position Summary: The goal of the Project Manager (PM) is to provide a high-level Project Management service(s) to our Customers, Channel Partners, Sales Team, Engineering Team and Operations Team on more complex MF Production Machine orders. It is a critical role, that will act as a liaison between the Customer, Channel Partner, Sales, Engineering and our Waterloo factory. In order to achieve this, the PM will partner with Sales and Channel Partners and take ownership of projects from the point of Order Entry, and sometimes earlier at the time of Inquiry, managing the project through various upstream and downstream milestones, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met, and helping to reduce any delays in the order workflow process.

    Reports To: Operations Leader

    Essential Functions:

    Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

    • Review and checking of project information provided from RFQ, through point of order, to project completion, shipping, and start-up.

    • Manage projects through all upstream and downstream process steps, working with Commercial, Engineering and Operational teams as necessary to ensure timely completion of milestones, with communication of schedule changes to Customers, Sales, and Channel Partners.

    • Regular reporting to Management on customer relations and project performance

    • Management of project on time delivery and communications between departments. Monitor OTD KPI as measured from by quoted lead time versus actual.

    • Providing clear and thorough technical information and support to internal departments as required to execute the contract

    • Ensure all requirements (specs) are managed and controlled effectively and with the boundaries of individual projects

    • Influence the use of standard systems and products to meet application requirements

    • Ensure compliance and documentation responsibilities are adhered to as required by individual projects

    • Manage external and internal customer communication (single point of contact)

    • Continuous development of internal systems and procedures as required by your areas of responsibilities

    Competencies:

    • A Customer Obsession Mindset and passion for technical sales and commercial-oriented project management is required

    • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment is required

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required

    • 3-5+ years of Project Management experience highly desired

    • Familiarity with ERP Systems strongly desired. JDE ERP experience preferred.

    • Working knowledge of industrial equipment, previous experience with a manufacturing ERP system and basic ability to read/interpret engineering drawings would be great assets to accelerate onboarding. A familiarity with Lead Principles is strongly preferred.

    Organizational Relationships:

    • Must interface effectively and regularly with: Finance, Operations, Engineering, Sales, Global Customers, and Channel Partners

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree

    • 3-5+ years of related experience in Sales / Marketing, Product Development, Project Management, and/or Technical Support roles in a global Capital Equipment space.

    • Outstanding customer facing communications and interaction skills.

    • Experience managing capital equipment sales via a network of independent Channel Partners is strongly preferred

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing

    • Technical degree strongly preferred

    Computer Skills:

    • Proficient computer user with experience using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs
