    Description:

    POSITION PORPOSE

    • The Project Manager - Medical Staff Services provides operational and project management expertise in support of Trinity Health Michigan (THMI) hospital medical staff.

    • Simultaneously manages multiple project initiatives and follow-up on medical staff issues.

    • Prepares analysis, planning, development, and implementation of organizational projects and initiatives that impact the medical staff, including establishment of key performance metrics, and ongoing monitoring/analytics.

    • Works directly with physician leaders, administrators, and a variety of multidisciplinary workgroups to promote best practices, alignment, compliance, and operational efficiency among THMI medical staff and Medical Staff Offices. Has strong project management skills, and is self-motivated and self-directed, functioning with little to no day-to-day supervision.

    • Responsible for establishing, contributing to and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to the medical staff organization. Reports to the THMI Regional Director of Medical Staff Services.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Project Management: Leads projects from conception to implementation in support medical staff initiatives and regional alignment. Responsible for supporting, collaborating, and problem solving for all milestones and activities related to the development and implementation of projects, including analysis, planning, and development of supporting materials such as matrices, charts, and analytical models; Organizes project meetings and subgroups as requested; Defines and ensures completion of necessary preparatory work and documentation; Ensures projects meet established timelines for completion, including assignment of accountability for tasks; Accountable for measuring project effectiveness, identification of opportunities and evaluation of outcomes; Provides ongoing support, as needed.

    • Data Analytics: Ongoing analysis of data integrity to ensure credentialing and privileging data compliance with all regulatory and TH system requirements, accuracy of medical staff data feeding the consumer-facing website, and identification of improvement opportunities.

    • Medical Staff Orientation Program: Responsible for the development, and continued alignment of activities and materials for new SEMI medical staff. Conducts ongoing evaluation of orientation programs and updates content as required for compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements. Maintains and develops resource manuals and electronic versions of orientation materials.

    • Medical Staff Leadership Orientation Program: Responsible for the development, and continued alignment of activities and content for new SEMI medical staff leaders. Conducts ongoing evaluation of orientation programs.

    • MSS Department Onboarding Program: Maintains departmental resource manual content and ensures review on a regular basis; Develops and implements a consistent onboarding curriculum for new medical staff services departmental colleagues.

    • Medical Staff Document Review: Ensures deadlines are met for the review and maintenance of medical staff documents (e.g., policies, delineation of privilege forms) in compliance with regulatory, hospital and medical staff requirements. Consults with and conducts research to acquire necessary information from internal and external content experts and resources relative to Medical Staff policies, TJC standards, delineation of privilege development.

    • Practitioner Engagement: Creates and implements strategies to improve engagement (e.g., survey, physician recognition activities). Leads Medical Staff initiatives to promote best practices and improve engagement; Supports workgroups, symposiums, committees, and communication efforts as needed to support medical staff engagement.

    MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare.
