    Summary

    This position provides leadership to the Wellness Center team through direct accountability of the development, operations, programming and marketing of the wellness center. This position achieves the overall client organizational strategic direction and goals through efficient and effective delivery of services to members and guests of the center. This position works collaboratively with all center management teams to assure consistent provision of services and care is achieved with UNC Health Care support, collaboration and coordination.

    Responsibilities

    1. Provide direction and support to the management team concerning policies and procedures. Responsible for managing operations with strategic and operational goals within the approved operating budget. Responsible for the planning and development of fiscal year operating and capital budgets. Directs the administration and maintenance of business systems software. Develop, implement and evaluate marketing and retention plans in consultation with marketing staff for community and corporate prospects to achieve membership volume goals on an ongoing basis. Assist in the development of emergency response and building safety policies including ongoing training and drills in keeping with local and hospital regulations and according to Medical Fitness Association guidelines. Oversight and guidance to the facility staff to assure proper functioning of the physical buildings. Responsible for overseeing the development of preventative health services and educational classes offered to the community and employees. Participate in and role model the behavior standards and customer service initiatives set forth to all team members to achieve the member survey satisfaction goals through superior customer service and recovery. Perform public speaking engagements for community groups, employers, and others to create positive public relations for the Wellness Centers.

    Education Requirements:

    ? Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).

    Licensure/Certification Requirements:

    ? No licensure or certification required.

    Professional Experience Requirements:

    ? If a Bachelor's degree: Five (5) years of wellness, rehabilitative or related experience.

    ? If an Associate's degree: Nine (9) years of wellness, rehabilitative or related experience.

    ? If a High School diploma or GED: Thirteen (13) years of wellness, rehabilitative or related experience.

    Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

    ? Understands and applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise.
