    Job Description

    The Project Controls Sr Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of medium to large-scale projects. This position demands a high level of expertise in project management and controls.

    • Develop and implement sophisticated commercial strategies, participating in high-stakes negotiations as required.

    • Lead the project controls function with utmost proficiency, demonstrating exceptional ability to manage complex projects.

    • Conduct thorough documentation of employee performance issues and provide decisive resolution strategies.

    • Serve as a key mentor and trainer, identifying and nurturing high-potential employees for organizational growth.

    • Execute in-depth root cause analyses to address project challenges and mitigate risks.

    • Formulate comprehensive project procedures to ensure optimal project execution.

    • Demonstrate mastery in scope control and change management methodologies.

    • Apply extensive knowledge of construction contracting, with particular emphasis on how contract types impact project controls systems.

    • Conduct rigorous reviews of performance trends, prepare detailed analyses and cost impact reports, and provide authoritative recommendations on contractor invoices.

    • Perform critical evaluations of manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements against budget constraints.

    • Oversee the meticulous production and maintenance of project schedules, employing expert-level understanding of schedule resource loading and leveling.

    • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager in developing and managing strategic incentive programs.

    • Utilize advanced expertise in schedule management, critical path analysis, and resource optimization.

    • Establish and maintain pivotal client relationships to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

    • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of project programs, overseeing the production of precise progress and performance reports.

    • Perform thorough reviews and assessments of raw data from project automated systems to inform decision-making processes.

    • Act as a key representative in high-level client and subcontractor negotiations.

    • Contribute significantly to project staffing decisions, ensuring optimal team composition.

    • Implement and maintain a robust tracking database to ensure alignment between subcontractor funding, work authorization, and expenditures.

    • Develop and manage a comprehensive tracking system to keep the Project Management team fully informed of detailed change order statuses.

    Communications

    • Coordinate with and respond to queries from internal and external clients

    • Attend team meetings to provide assistance in resolving issues, review progress reports and ensure assignment of new tasks.

    • Analyze and provide input to technical and performance criteria on Project Controls systems to the Project Controls Functional leadership.

    Working in Teams

    • Provide recommendations and guidance to other Functional groups with regards to processes, monitoring and system requirements.

    • Provide input for various Business Line reporting

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    BA/BS in a related field+ 10 years of related experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Professional Designation

    • Professional designation preferred.

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE Certification preferred.

    • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business preferred.

    • Primavera P6 - Advanced Level

    • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Cost Engineering Software (e.g. Prism, Ecosys, ePM)

    • Acumen Fuse / Risk

    • Monte Carlo Simulation (e.g. @Risk, Crystal ball)

    c) Experience:

    • Experience in Design-Build and Progressive Delivery

    • Construction, and Engineering experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Primavera P6

    • Cost Engineering Software (e.g. Prism, Ecosys, ePM)

    • Acumen Fuse / Risk

    • Monte Carlo Simulation (e.g. @Risk, Crystal ball)

    Additional Information

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $185,000.00.
