  • The NeuroTech Harbor Project (NTH) at the Whiting School of Engineering (WSE) of Johns Hopkins University (JHU) invites applications for a Program Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in supporting the management and success of our groundbreaking program. This role involves meticulous tracking of program and award recipient progress, data organization, communications, marketing assistance, and event coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for organizing information and tracking activities related to the full life cycle of awarded recipients in NTH funding programs. NeuroTech Harbor (NTH) is one of two NIH-funded Incubator Hubs that will provide funding, mentoring, oversight, and in-kind resources to innovator teams to develop groundbreaking neuro technologies to the point of first-in-human testing. NeuroTech Harbor is the first Equitech ecosystem in the United States dedicated to neuromedical solutions. This initiative follows the Equitech approach, which emphasizes the creation of inclusive medical technologies. These technologies are designed to address the diverse needs of individuals of all abilities, disabilities, and cultural backgrounds. The goal of inclusive medical technologies is to foster equity, accessibility, and inclusivity within the healthcare sector.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist in coordination of activities across the portfolio of awarded teams in the Innovator Core and Seedlings Program under NTH.

    • Track the progress of the award recipients including:

    • Progress of Awardee milestones.

    • Actual and projected future use of award recipient funding.

    • Outcomes of award recipients after completion of program.

    • Assist the NTH finance team, awardee PI and/or team members, awardee's organization, Howard University, and VentureWell as needed for tasks.

    • Organize and maintain all tracking and awardee information in Word documents and Excel spreadsheets for collaborative access via file sharing application Box.

    • Serve as primary contact for awardee status and related program questions.

    • Assist with marketing and communications of the programs.

    • Coordinate the preparation, set up and logistics for 2 yearly events.

    • Schedule meetings.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Excellent organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work for long periods of time without direction, prioritize own work, and work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously to meet various concurrent deadlines.

    • Excellent computer literacy skills (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software.

    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; also, with exceptional attention to detail.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

    • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing priorities.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

    • Five years progressively responsible related experience.

    • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree.

    Starting Salary Range: $21.00 - $36.50 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

    Employee group: Full Time

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
