    Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location, the Production Worker - Nameplate will report to the Quality Supervisor. The Production Worker - Nameplate will be responsible for assisting the manufacturing process for various products and materials.

    • Utilize a Graphograph Laser to produce plastic and stainless steel nameplates (labels).

    • Utilize a Xenetech Engraver to product plastic name plastic.

    • Utilize the computer to communicate with different printers to produce wire shrinks and terminal markers.

    • Create heatshrinks, engrave nameplates and lamacoids.

    • Install nameplates and lamacoids on panels.

    • Create wire tag lists from wiring drawings and enter into spreadsheets.

    • Promotes a safety culture as well as attends all safety meetings.

    • Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.

    • Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.

    • Other duties as required.

    Core Competencies and Requirements

    • Must have strong attention to detail.

    • Motivation to work independently with little to no supervision.

    • Comfortable working on a computer with programs such as Microsoft Suite.

    • Conscientious, thorough, accurate and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.

    • Ability to learn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure adherence to ISO requirements.

    • Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.

    • Minimum education level of a High School Diploma is required.

    • 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Basic ability performing mathematical calculations.

    • Safety training certificates are an asset for the position.

    Physical Requirements

    • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs.

    • Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner continuously.

    • Ability to work seated for long periods of time.

    • Occasional standing, walking 50-300 foot distances.

    • Typing, punching or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.

    • Perceiving size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with the fingertips.
