Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Lead to supervise a team of 32 in a manufacturing/production floor specializing in medical products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for motivating the team to meet and exceed deadlines while maintaining high targets. This role involves coaching and working closely with team members, leading by example, managing inventory levels, reducing downtime and rework, and coordinating with various departments to ensure overall manufacturing success. Additionally, you will handle processing of timecards, vacation, payroll, and absences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 32 on the production floor.

• Motivate team members to meet and exceed deadlines.

• Coach and work with team members while leading by example.

• Manage inventory levels and production processes.

• Reduce downtime and rework.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in written format.

• Coordinate with different departments to ensure manufacturing success.

• Handle processing of timecards, vacation, payroll, and absences.

Essential Skills

• 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, food, or chemical processing industries.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proven ability to communicate leadership and motivation to a manufacturing team.

• Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, and ISO regulations.

• Strong computer skills.

• Experience with continuous improvement and process improvement.

• Proficiency in lean manufacturing.

• Familiarity with MRP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good understanding of MRP systems (preferably SAP) is a strong asset.

• Knowledge and experience with Lean Enterprise and Project Management tools preferred.

• Ability to motivate and encourage a team.

Work Environment

Our offices are attached to the production floor, which is a relatively quiet operation with some products having stronger odors than others. You will spend time both on the floor with the team and in the office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
