Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Team Lead to supervise a team of 32 on a manufacturing/production floor focused on creating medical products. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating the team to meet and exceed deadlines, while keeping targets in mind. This role requires coaching and working closely with team members, leading by example, and managing inventory levels, production, and reducing downtime/rework. Additionally, the Team Lead will handle timecard processing, vacation schedules, payroll, absences, and coordinate with different departments to ensure overall manufacturing success.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 32 on a manufacturing/production floor.

• Motivate team members to meet and exceed deadlines.

• Coach and work with team members while leading by example.

• Manage inventory levels and production processes.

• Reduce downtime and rework to improve efficiency.

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in written format.

• Coordinate with different departments for overall success of manufacturing.

• Process timecards, manage vacation schedules, payroll, and absences.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, food, or chemical processing industries.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to motivate and lead a manufacturing team.

• Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, and healthcare, medical, or pharma standards.

• Strong computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good understanding of MRP Systems, preferably SAP.

• Knowledge and experience with Lean Enterprise and Project Management tools.

• Ability to encourage and motivate a team.

Work Environment

• The offices are attached to the production floor, which is not a loud operation, though certain products may have stronger odors.

• The role requires time spent on the production floor with the team as well as office hours.

• The shift is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

• It is a contract position for the duration of a maternity leave, i.e. 18 months.
