  • Avtec Finishing, a leader in the metal finishing industry, is looking for a qualified Production Supervisor. Preference to someone with plating and anodizing experience, but will train the right candidate. Previous supervisory experience is a must.

    Job Overview

    This position is the first level of supervision of production operations in their assigned department. Review production orders and ensure production schedules are met. Organizes assigned work load. Supervises and assists employees in daily work performance. Must be a good team builder with strong leadership skills. Maintains good housekeeping and enforces safe work practices.

    Basic Job Description of our Production Manager

    • Develops their team to increase performance, quality, safety, and job satisfaction
    • Responsible for setting production schedule and work schedules.
    • Develops training schedules for new employees.
    • Evaluates the performance of workers and placing them in appropriate positions to increase productivity.
    • Maintain employee records such as attendance and performance evaluations.
    • Prepare production reports for upper management staff. Management may require reports on safety issues in the department, productivity, and goals.

    • Minimum 4 years proven supervisory experience
    • Preferred previous metal finishing, plating and/or anodizing experience
    • Hazardous waste training preferred
    • Hazwoper training and forklift license preferred
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal); active listener
    • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding speaking the English language
    • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
    • Experience of establishing the objective and goals of the assigned department, enhancing the production of the business and accomplishing the targets
    • Good eye for details to keep track on all of the activities of the organization
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
    • Maintain regular and reliable attendance record
    • Willingness to take and pass CEF/NASF classes
    • Ability to work independently without supervision

    Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am + OT as needed

    Pay: $78000 + DOQ

    Signing Bonus: $1500 (not applicable to current employees)
