The Production Scheduler will have primary responsibility for the coordination of the daily production schedules to support the Sales objectives. The Production Scheduler works closely with the Director of Manufacturing, Director of Engineering, Project Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering and Launch group and Customer Account Managers to ensure the achievement of our mission "To deliver exceptional services, engineered solutions and quality products on time."
Essential Job Function:- Plan and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Ensures that manufacturing and related support personnel have necessary scheduling information in order to effectively manufacture good products on time.
- Effectively manage schedule to most effectively utilize people and equipment available.
- Coordinate scheduling aspect of the morning production meeting and participate in meeting updates with all personnel. Provide real time updates on job status for Account Managers prior to the production meeting.
- Work with Account Managers as situations, schedules and other factors change to best meet our deadlines. This includes short ships, partial orders and any other situation that requires communication and action by the Account Manager to adjust the order while still maintaining a positive relationship with our customer.
- Work with Purchasing to ensure that required materials are available when jobs are in production. Adjust schedule when advised of these changes by Account Managers or Purchasing Agent.
- Communicate with Shift Supervisors and Production Management to assess progress and discuss delays and other factors that affect potential changes to the schedule.
- Revise schedule when required due to tooling samples, labor or material shortages, backlogs, equipment issues, or other interruptions, collaborating with Management, Sales, Production, Maintenance or Engineering.
- Communicate delays or other problems that affect the scheduling process to Account Managers.
- Utilize past historical information relating to past production of the same or similar products to ensure that all information available assists us in better production time/materials etc... estimates relating to the production schedule.
- Work with Production Supervisors to evaluate and communicate consumable supplies needs to purchasing agent.
- Distribute production schedules or work orders to responsible functional areas.
- Review documents, such as productions schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
- Confer with Shift Supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Follow all safety guidelines and rules.
- Follow written work procedures.

Required Education and Experience: - Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
- Associate's degree or 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office applications.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Exempt, full-time.
