  • Description: Production Operations Manager - Solid Rocket Motor Center of Excellence

    Responsibilities

    - Define and Develop the Production Operations Team to Support the COE.

    - Develop and execute Production Operations strategies to support COE initiatives and pursuits.

    - Manage Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule of all COE Capital, IRAD, Co-Production, and international production activities.

    - Drive a One LM approach to production and sourcing activities, while leveraging DFM/DFA opportunities throughout the design and development phases.

    - Support COE competitive capture initiatives.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education

    • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to starting

    • Project and Production Operations experience (cost/budgeting, schedule, risk and opportunities, and production execution)

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with the ability to balance technical requirements with business/schedule needs

    • Strong planning, communication and presentation skills, the capability to listen and influence outcomes

    • Demonstrated collaboration and teaming skills across all levels of the organization and work experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships

    • Previous leadership experience

    Desired Skills:

    -Experience in multi-location manufacturing and assembly flow.

    • Experience with international Co-Production and sourcing.

    • Experience managing one or more of the following: machine operations, composite manufacturing, energetics manufacturing, final assembly, and checkout of ordnance items.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret

    Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
