    POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: 

    The Production Artist will be responsible for executing the graphic production of printed components for packaging, such as labels, cartons, foils, packets, bottles, and tubes, as well as other print collateral while maintaining standards and ensuring graphic integrity of print-ready files. 

    DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

    • Communicate clearly with Manager, co-workers and job originators on an as needed basis with regards to project status.
    • Use Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to create, edit and modify art files and images for product packaging and print collateral, in addition to pre-flight formatting, collecting, processing, checking and uploading files to implement printed component engineering change order (PCECO) requests.
    • Prepare label working files for output to various vendors worldwide. Package contents include: Electronic files, fonts, images and artwork specifications.
    • Responsible for checking art proofs for accuracy of changes, typesetting and proper positioning of graphic elements.
    • Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create and edit digital images and vector artwork to be used in print and on screen.
    • Additional duties as assigned

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Intermediate level proficiency in Adobe CC2022 (or higher) and Acrobat Pro

    Experience:

    • 4 years experience in graphic design production in creative team (agency or in-house) workflow, processes, and structure
    • Intermediate level of knowledge of layout, type, and color
    • 1 year experience working on workflow system and/or interactive design projects
    • Microsoft Office Word and Excel, on a MAC
    • Must have keen attention to detail, troubleshooting skills

    Education:

    • 2 year college degree (AA) in graphic design / print production

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advance level proficiency in Adobe CC2022 (or higher), Illustrator and Acrobat Pro
    • Advanced knowledge of four-color, spot, ability to set up files based on digital printing processes and prepress requirements
    • 2 years experience in food/ supplement packaging production at agency or corporate graphics department
    • 1 year experience working with Agile PLM workflow system or similar project management software tools/systems
    • 1 year experience working on heavily regulated projects, in multiple languages/ markets, and translating designs to support different marketing regulatory requirements. 
    • Experience with network servers, server volumes and font management software 
    • 4 year degree in graphic design with focus in print production
