Following the retirement of a team member, we are looking for a Senior Product Sales Executive who knows how to work with a collaborative team-based sales strategy-for both new and existing customers. You will be responsible for positioning Hematology and Urinalysis solutions into hospitals and reference laboratories.
As our new PSE, your goal will be to accurately anticipate the needs of customers and execute on a sales strategy to help us become the technical vendor of choice. You will use your experience in laboratory workflow to effectively position our solutions (hardware, reagents, systems and applications) in the Hematology and Urinalysis space.
You will be part of the North American Commercial Organization and will report to a National Manager, Product Executives who will coach you in using funnel management to design and implement your sales plan; and achieve your sales and financial goals. You will work remotely from your home office; and work with customers in the field.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in Hematology and Urinalysis; and predominantly call on customers who are in the active sales cycle
Develop and execute creative strategies to influence the decision criteria and utilize tactics to close the sale and effectively link Beckman Coulter's Hematology and Urinalysis solutions to the technical, financial and business needs of the customer
Strategically use internal and external resources, including Service, Applications, Laboratory Automation and Clinical Information Technology Specialists, Leadership and Client Services to build and execute upon an account strategy
Implement the sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals
Handle a long-term sales cycle (often years to develop) with many different key stakeholders at the account
Organize and present our solutions to Laboratory Directors and technologists via educational sessions, including lunch and learns.
As part of your responsibilities, you will utilize your solutions-oriented approach along with your prior clinical lab experience to contribute to our mission. You will help us challenge conventions and elevate the role of diagnostic laboratory testing in improving patient health.
Travel 50% - 75% and overnight travel will be required. Your territory will consist of the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan Manitoba and the Northwest Territories.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree preferred (will consider MLT or greater designations) in a science field with 5+ years' sales experience with a preference selling capital equipment into the hospital or laboratory
Must be willing to travel 50% - 75%, overnight travel may be included. ossess excellent time and territory management habits. Your territory will consist of the provinces of BC, AB, Sask, MB and Northwest territories.
Working knowledge of laboratory workflow, workload demands, and Hematology and Urinalysis system needs in a hospital laboratory,
Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers)
Strong communication and presentation skills; as well as the ability to conduct a clear, concise and accurate technical presentation and ability to effectively overcome customer objections and win their business

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000 CAD range. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and Retirement Benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
