    Primary purpose: Responsible for all aspects of product lifecycle management, from inception to end of life, of an open-source software product that supports a growing number of client-facing projects. Manages Lantana's existing product line as well as managing and coordinating new product development projects. Applies best practices across the product experience, inclusive of all features.

    A successful candidate will:

    • Leverage analytical skills to evaluate information carefully and solve complex problems.
    • Understand, assess, and develop product requirements to create a product roadmap and timeline that align with project/business objectives and ensure seamless product functionality.
    • Own the scalability planning for a product line that involves connecting to electronic health records across the country.
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in Management, Engineering, and Data Science to evolve the product strategy, including product improvements, feature enhancements, and next-generation product ideation.
    • Drive the product strategy and development process across cross-functional company teams.
    • Develop and execute a product roadmap that aligns with project requirements and company strategy.
    • Analyze customer/project needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships.
    • Understand and assess product requirements and develop appropriate plans.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple projects.
    • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for the engineering teams to construct prototypes and develop products.
    • Document project business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
    • Collaborate with project teams to gather input into the product roadmap and timelines.
    • Remain current on the latest industry trends and technology.
    • Participate in the ongoing implementation and improvement of product quality initiatives.

    • Bachelors degree in an Engineering or related field
    • A minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience in Engineering or related field
    • In-depth, expert-level experience in Product Management for software used across multiple client-facing projects
    • Extensive experience managing software development in a regulated environment
    • Extensive, long-term experience leading design reviews to verify product requirements and to minimize risk
    • Extensive, long-term experience defining market and product requirements and defining/verifying requirements with tools such as focus groups
    • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust background investigations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Software and web development experience
    • Experience with software projects for public health and/or Health IT
    • Experience managing software development for the federal government
    • Experience with public-health reporting
    • Familiarity with HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
    • Familiarity with creating or authoring implementation guides (IGs), particularly FHIR IGs
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Project, and Excel
    • Applied knowledge of Agile Scrum and Jira
    • Familiarity with industry best practices and standards, including FedRAMP authorization
    • Experience working in a remote, distributed environment
