    This Product Manager is a key position focused on profitably growing our product portfolio by developing, implementing and driving marketing/business strategies and tactical action plans contributing to growth in market share and size. This key position is focused on effectively utilizing core business philosophies to manage the lifecycle of product lines, lead business growth initiatives and champion new product development. The Product Manager will collaborate with Marketing to develop lead generation programs and campaigns. The position must effectively lead business growth initiatives as a champion for strategic customer focused product innovation, market development, market segmentation and value-based strategies. In addition, this role is responsible for developing a growth-oriented culture that invests in organizational development and, as part of the ITW operating philosophy, will champion the application of the ITW frameworks, values, and continuous improvement principles.

    Successful applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a business or technical field as well as experience in progressive marketing, sales, or product management. Advanced technical or business-related degree an advantage. This position requires an individual who has demonstrated ability to effectively lead business growth initiatives and projects. As well as the ability to identify and understand market segmentation, to develop financial business justification, and to deliver proposals to upper management. This person should thrive managing priorities, have outstanding communication skills, and be a leader in influencing cross-functional teams. This role is located at NSI's Rogers, MN facility with up to 15% travel. Additional expectations include:

    • Utilize core enterprise principles to identify and allocate resources to maximize portfolio profitability and product performance.

    • Through research and market data know our customer needs and translate those needs into actionable pain points and opportunities

    • Analyze and communicate sales trends for given product lines, creating dashboards, and tracking reports. Use market and data driven information to develop strategies.

    • Create annual growth plans and product strategy.

    • Build and maintain an innovation pipeline that supports NSI's business strategies.

    • Identify and prioritize new product opportunities and growth market segments/applications based on market knowledge and voice of customer data.

    • Lead new product development projects, focusing on market and voice of the customer to define strategic fit, competitive analysis, prioritized customer pain points, value proposition, business case development and go to market implementation.

    • Manage a portfolio of products through the development, commercialization, growth, maintenance, and obsolescence stages.

    • Convey value propositions for assigned product lines to key market segments through advertising and collateral including brochures, videos and web. Work with content creators to create the desired content.

    • Provide input to Engineering, Service, Scanning, and Training on improvements to in-market products based on quality concerns, customer feedback and market impact.

    • Determine product pricing for all global regions based on market research, production/material costs and anticipated demand. Review margins for product lines and adjust pricing to maximize OI.

    • Work with sales director to create product sales strategies.

    • Generate leads for assigned products.

    • Create sales tools and playbooks.

    • Provide product specific training access to the sales team.

    • Own responsibility for ROI on marketing spend for assigned product line.
