Product Engineering Codes and Standards Intern

Weyerhaeuser is recruiting for an intern for the summer of 2025 to collaborate with engineers and scientists in the Product Engineering, Codes and Standards Group at our Weyerhaeuser Wood Products Laboratory in Federal Way, Washington. The scope of work entails development of new wood products and processes, forensic analysis of product issues, collection and analysis of data, report writing, and presentations to sponsors.

At Weyerhaeuser, interns receive extensive mentoring and have firsthand work experiences to build the foundations for a professional career. Our interns often return as full-time employees after graduation, and several senior leaders started their careers as interns at Weyerhaeuser.

• Must be attending an accredited college or university toward completion of an associate or bachelor's degree

• Must commit to a minimum 3-month internship during May - September 2025

• Strong people skills and ability to work within a team environment

• Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills

• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills

• Highly motivated and self-starting

• Strong work ethic and personal integrity

• Positive outlook when encountering and solving problems

• Be at least eighteen years of age by the start of the internship

• Be able and willing to work Monday-Friday on an 8-hour shift with occasional overtime

• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Compensation: Pay rate ranges between $25 - $28 per hour

This position is designated by WY as a safety-sensitive position. Please be advised that due to the designation of this position as safety-sensitive, you will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.
