Required Skills:

Product Designer Responsibilities

1. Utilize full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and own the experience for a wide area of the Facebook product.

2. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our billion plus users.

3. Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant.

4. Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams.

5. Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.

6. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.

7. Incorporate user experience design, human-technology behavior, and user computer technologies to develop and enhance user experience design and function.

8. Design and build human-centered product interface prototypes, product mockups, and features for products for the web and mobile platforms.

9. Evaluate design appearance and function to determine if a design is practical.

10. Work with others to evaluate whether their design concepts will appropriately address business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

1. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Interaction Design and Media Arts, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a design-related occupation. Requires five years of experience in the following:

5. 1. End-to-end (Hybrid UX and UI) product design
6. 1. Designing for groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc)
7. 1. Applying design principles to create product workflows, proof of concepts, and frameworks
8. 1. Determining the size and arrangement of illustrative design mockups and selecting the style and type of design, including the interfaces between users and technology
9. 1. Overseeing the user experience of a product from conception until launch
10. 1. Conducting research into current design trends and user-experience concepts in order to develop design modifications and revisions that better enhance the user experience.

Public Compensation:

$206,475/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits
