    The Role

    This position is primarily responsible for item setup and costing products. The successful candidate should exhibit a “can-do” spirit, a willingness to learn, be trainable, and have a customer service aptitude.

    Responsibilities

    • Product Item Setup, including but not limited to:
      • Responsibility to enter new items into the ERP inventory system (SAP).
      • Maintain bill of materials for current products as prices and production location changes.
      • Maintain unit of measure conversion set ups and routing changes.
      • Set up new items (finished good, raw materials, etc.) based on new customer requests or changes to current products
      • Coordinate with merchandising team for new product specs/changes and ensure changes to the setups are done as needed and as directed by both merchandising and sales.
      • In charge of obsoleting old items and keeping the inventory listing as current as possible in ERP system.
    • Cost Accounting Responsibilities:
      • Update standard costs as new quotes are received from Sales.
      • Ensure the standard cost of established items are correct.
    • Backup Ecommerce Specialist and Purchasing functions including as needed.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Four-year college degree in business or accounting field preferred. Two-year degree required or equivalent work experience.
    • Two years prior accounting or related business experience a plus
    • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles a plus
    • Skill in maintaining and reconciling accounting records.
    • Advanced demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Position must be able to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data on Excel in an efficient and accurate manner using advanced Excel functions including, but not limited to, V Lookups, pivot tables and other advanced functions within Excel.
    • Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
    • Ability to multi-task.
