    Job Responsibilities/Duties

    Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) manages one of the most challenging radioactive waste cleanup projects in the country. Our focus is reducing the environmental risk posed by 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste stored in 177 underground tanks on the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA.     The Procurement Support group is hiring a new team member. This group is responsible for providing support to the purchasing groups within the overall Procurement Services Department. This position will participate in major aspects of the support provided by the Procurement Support Organization, including:

    • Performing subcontract closeout of past subcontracts.

    • Processing of certified payroll for construction subcontracts.

    • Evaluate subcontractor compliance to terms and conditions, including Service Contract Act requirements.

    • Authoring and/or revising departmental procedures, policies, guides and templates to maintain compliance with related requirements.

    • Identifying and recommending process improvements to departmental operations upon evaluation of existing internal controls, the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), and procedural requirements.

    • Serving as the primary liaison between internal/external auditors and the Procurement Services Department. This includes coordinating audit requests, researching and responding to potential issues, and preparing and executing resulting corrective action plans.

    • Managing the purchase card (P-Card) purchase program, including implementing and administration of the process and providing compliance oversight.

    • Interface with other functional groups in interdepartmental initiatives that relate to Procurement (i.e., Government Property, Health and Safety, etc.)

    • Ensure (Integrated Safety Management Systems (ISMS) Principles are incorporated into organization's activities

    Required Qualifications

    Grade 16

    BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and five (5) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

    Grade 17

    BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field and six (6) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

    Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ability to clearly and professionally communicate through writing.

    Working knowledge of the FAR, Asset Suite and IDMS.

    Experience with contracting, procurement and/or auditing in a Federal government environment.

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to peers and management in a professional manner.

    Compensation & Benefits

    In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

    Hiring Range Minimum: $86,138

    Hiring Range Maximum: $119,250
