As a Procurement Specialist your duties will include but aren't limited too:

• Engage with suppliers of recyclable materials to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms

• Conduct comprehensive market research to understand the availability, quality, and pricing trends of recyclable commodities

• Optimize procurement strategies based on the findings from market analysis

• Utilize technology platforms like LinkedIn for identifying potential targets for prospecting

• Ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations by effectively sourcing used boxes for resale

• Leverage CRM and ERP Solutions to maintain accurate customer records and process customer credit applications

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them efficiently

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on their status

• Ensure adherence to buying processes and deliver excellent customer service

• Manage and process invoices accurately.

Requirements

The ideal Procurement Specialist will have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in procurement.

• Understanding of Buying Processes in a wholesale distribution context.

• Knowledge of supply chain management and financial forecasting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in 3M, Coupa, and CRM software.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Excellent customer service skills and experience.

• Experience in handling and processing invoices.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements within existing processes.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
