    Summary:

    The Proctor facilitates tests and exams. This position will maintain the security of exams by preventing cheating and tampering of exams. The proctor's task is to guide the student on test instructions, maintain the examination area's orderliness, and collect all test papers after the exam's conclusion. Proctors are essential personnel at Rush Medical college. .Proctors exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Required Job Qualifications:

    • Graduation from high school or equivalent.

    • Available to commute to campus for on campus examinations.

    • Proctors must be able to communicate professionally with faculty, students, and university staff regarding issuing examinations.

    • Exercise judgment and discretion and follow written and/oral instructions.

    • Maintain confidentiality.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    • Previous proctoring experience at the college/university level.

    • Experience in specialized software applications.

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to navigate the spaces utilized for testing, visually identify students via their student identification cards and carry at least 5 lbs.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Administers computerized and paper-based examinations in the secure testing environment.

    2. Supervises students for the duration of examination session.

    3. Ensures that all required testing protocols issued by faculty are followed.

    4. Responsible for reporting any violations of the honor code or code of conduct.

    5. Will assist Assessment Staff with admission to the testing room by checking students in via Student ID badge and ensuring all technology (personal cell phones and smart watches) are stored away.

    6. Secures all testing materials and other test documents.
