Responsibilities:
The Principal Trainer I role will provide end user training, Tier1 and super user community support for the electronic health record and other clinical applications. The role will work with the Technology Services department and end users to ensure optimal performance and stability of the system(s), accurate, up to date training materials and sessions, effective testing and assessment of releases and upgrades, and consistent, reliable support of the super user community are delivered.
Operational training and training documentation maintenance:
Administer the training program for the electronic health record and other clinical applications following the training program guidelines and processes.
Maintain training program content, agendas, schedule, and supporting resources, including user guides, job aides, recordings, collaboration platforms.
Conduct in person and/or virtual training sessions utilizing a variety of training methodologies to accommodate different skill levels and adult learning styles following the training policies and processes.
Administer end user competency evaluations related to the electronic health record and other clinical applications, as needed.
Perform training domain maintenance including maintenance of training scenarios, patient profiles, and configuration.
Provide Tier 1 support for the training domains following the incident and problem management policies and processes.
Creation of training scenarios and training patient profiles in the training domains, as needed.
Electronic health record and other clinical applications support:
Provide Tier 1 training support for electronic health record and other clinical applications following the incident and problem management policies and processes.
Configure application security and access per the access management policies, processes, and role-based security guidelines.
Escalate system performance issues.
Knowledge of article creation and maintenance.
Support and collaboration with Compass Super User Community:
Effectively communicate with super users on common inefficiencies, tips for use of the system(s), ongoing adoption of existing functionality, and assisting with process improvement within the electronic health record.
Provide support and training to super users to enable effective onsite/interdepartmental support for staff following the training policies and processes
