    Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Nightwing is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

    Responsibilities Include

    Implements SAFe Agile best practices and the intersection of SAFe practices with data management and governance.

    Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.

    Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions.

    Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and mentors or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies.

    Works with product and engineering teams to understand the tradeoffs of potential solutions and how they fit into product roadmaps.

    Plans, develops, and implements large scale projects from conception to completion.

    Develops and architects lifecycle of projects working on different technologies and platforms.

    Translates business requirements/objectives into technical applications and solutions.

    Exercise creative, innovative, and critical thinking to troubleshoot systems and advance project initiatives.

    Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs/requirements

    Provide consultation to product/engineering teams and stakeholders on business processes and existing system functionality that ensures technical and business aspects of solutions are aligned to the proposed value.

    Utilizing industry best practices for root cause analysis of Enterprise architecture, design, or configuration failures related to Cyber security.

    Required Skills

    U.S. Citizenship

    Active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

    Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability

    10+ years of directly relevant software development experience

    6+ years' experience with Agile software development programs

    Demonstrated experience with Lean-Agile principles, metrics, and technology and/or experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Thinking, Lean Six Sigma

    Understands complex data models.

    Strong background in AWS, database, networking, and software development solutions.

    Strong background in multi-tiered architecture using microservices.

    Strong background in developing identity and access management solutions.

    Strong ability to be creative, innovative, and possess advanced decision-making skills

    Strong knowledge of technology trends and champions new ideas and product and process improvements

    Experience with multiple Agile tools, including JIRA and Confluence

    Desired Skills

    Experience developing, delivering, upgrading, and maintaining a web-based operational system that provides a real-time malware analysis capability.

    Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar framework

    Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts

    Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Cloudbees, etc.

    Containerized applications/microservices architectures

    Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud architectures and implementations

    Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques

    Experience working on projects that implement systems into production.

    Experience in developing malware analysis systems

    Developing metrics to measure system performance using Grafana

    Required Education

    Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is required. [Twelve (12) years of experience (for a total of twenty-two (22) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.]

    Advanced degree (Master's) is desired.

    Desired Certifications

    Agile software development methodology certification (e.g. SCRUM Master) highly desired.

    AWS Associate Architect certification

    The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
