Principal Scientist - Discovery Protein Sciences
Live
What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. The Therapeutic Discovery organization is seeking to fill a position at the Principal Scientist level in our Discovery Protein Sciences group at our Amgen British Columbia site in Vancouver, Canada. This position, which is laboratory-based, will support the design and generation of complex biological molecules for both small and large molecule discovery programs. Such molecules will inherently be diverse in nature and will require technical expertise in mammalian and non-mammalian expression systems as well as purification techniques. This role will further involve collaboration with our state-of-the-art synthetic biology Biofoundry to accelerate protein generation to support Amgen's rich discovery pipeline. In addition to protein generation, the scientist will contribute to initiatives around structural biology and the development of innovative approaches to mitigate the immunogenicity of therapeutic proteins by rational design. Given the breadth of projects, this role will involve highly multidisciplinary research and will provide opportunities for close interactions with scientists across research and development at Amgen.
