    Principal Biologist/Project Manager

    ICF is seeking a Senior Biologist with project management and regulatory expertise to support a wide range of projects in the water resources, energy, transportation, broadband fiber, and planning sectors of our company. The position is based in Northern CA with the option to work remotely.

    What You Will Do

    • Manage projects that involve a wide range of biological field studies, technical analyses, and regulatory and permitting tasks.

    • Provide senior-level expertise and technical guidance on complex projects involving CEQA, NEPA, federal and state laws, and agency consultations

    • Support and guide complex regulatory strategies

    • Provide leadership to wildlife biologists and help mentor, train, and guide junior and mid-level biologists

    • Prepare proposals and support marketing efforts in target sector.

    What You Must Have

    • MS in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences

    • Strong knowledge of environmental consulting practices and environmental laws

    • 15+ years of experience in applicable fields (government, consulting, academia)

    What We Would Like You to Have

    • PhD. in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences

    • Experience managing or conducting studies for Pacific Gas & Electric, California Department of Transportation, and/or Department of Water Resources

    • Experience overseeing technical studies and providing regulatory guidance for broadband fiber projects in the Western United States

    • Leadership experience

    • Experience working with resource agencies and developing complex environmental and regulatory strategies

    • Experience working with clients and project management tools

    • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train teams of technical specialists

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, including ability to identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions

    Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

    $116,605.00 - $198,228.00
