The role of material handler includes, but is not limited to:
Assisting the press operator in running of the press
Performs set up for feed system
Assists 2nd press operator to change plates and blankets
Ensures the press has the supplies necessary to run
Assists with make-readies
Assists in washing plates, blankets, rollers and ink fountains as required
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
General clean up
Follows all company policies and procedures
Attends and particiaptes in ongoing training
Other duties as assigned and required
Skills/Physical Requirements:
Must adhere to all company safety policies and processes and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act)
Works well in team environment
Autonomous
Ability to adapt to production requirements in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable taking initiative
Excellent communication skills
Good physical condition/capable of lifting up to 50lbs
