    Job Description:

    As a key member of the leadership team of BILH, the President partners with the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to oversee and direct the employed clinician enterprise for BILH (referred to as the ""BILH Medical Group)".

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

    • Oversees all aspects of community-based outpatient practice operations in the BILH. Participates with executive leadership in establishing performance expectations; communicates expectations, delegating authority as appropriate to clinical and operational leaders. Promotes practices and processes that contribute to success; directs the effective management of barriers that impede achieving targeted results.

    • Partners with population health leadership to assure success in risk-based contracts; supports and facilitates care coordination for high-risk patients.

    • Contributes expertise in the development and implementation of BILH Medical Group's strategic plan. In partnership with the CCO, ensuring that day-to-day operations are conducted in full alignment with the approved strategic plan to ensure efficient and cost-effective contribution at every stage of the healthcare delivery process.

    • Partners with system and hospital leadership to develop and execute on a multi-year roadmap to consolidate and integrate the BILH Medical Group

    • Oversees and supports BILH Medical Group CMOs and COOs in their oversight of the practices. Fosters caregiver leadership development and succession planning; conducts annual professional reviews (APRs) for direct reports and ensures that APRs are performed for all care team members.

    • Responsible for ensuring superior access, quality, safety and performance management outcomes.

    • Responsible for ensuring superior patient experience and caregiver engagement in all clinical settings.

    • In partnership with the CCO and finance leadership, oversees the budget process for BILH Medical Groupe. Collaborates with the CCO and finance leadership during budget planning to ensure comprehensive accounting of projected volume, revenue, and expenses associated with efficient operations for practices.

    • In partnership with the CCO and in collaboration with the leadership team, ensures that day-to-day operations in the practices are managed to achieve the approved budget and when necessary, develops and implements plans to address variances to achieve budgeted performance.

    • Assesses new technologies for enhancing patient care and outcomes consistent with strategic goals and operational capability.

    • Contributes expertise in practice operations to inform decisions about optimal use of current space and efficient resource allocation and to strategically plan for expansion and growth.

    • Collaborates with physician and administrative leaders across BILH to develop highly effective healthcare delivery processes throughout hospital and clinic operations, including clinical transformation; innovate the care delivery model to remain market competitive.

    • Ensures timely and seamless access to primary care and specialty clinics and partners with leaders across BILH to promote superior communication and care coordination.

    • Ensures that clinic operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements, such as the Joint Commission and the Department of Public Health, as required.

    • Actively participates in recruitment and retention initiatives to ensure that all clinical and administrative leadership roles are managed by highly competent, qualified, and experienced colleagues.

    • Develops and supports initiatives to foster caregiver resilience.

    • Represents BILH Medical Group to external organizations and agencies on relevant matters as necessary.

    • Participates as needed at meetings across BILH involving the medical practice.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, Business, Human Resources, HRIS, Analytics, or related field.

    • Advanced leadership training and/or M.B.A. or M.H.A. preferred.

    • 7-10 years of significant and graduated leadership responsibility, including clinical operations and financial management, preferably at a senior level in a large geographically distributed physician network that is part of a large, highly matrixed health system.

    • Nuanced understanding of ambulatory operations, finance, human resource management, and information technology.

    • Nuanced content knowledge regarding quality, safety, patient experience, clinical transformation, population health, and risk-based contracts.

    • Proven and successful leadership experience within a complex and matrixed reporting structure and a shared services model.

    • Experience working with risk-based contracts and the ability to work closely with current providers on existing and future contracts.

    • Experience with change management in providing a vision, leadership, and support around the needed changes.

    • Has proven success working in a competitive healthcare market.

    • There is a strong preference and expectation that the President live in the primary or secondary service area.

    • Demonstrates sound understanding of hospital operations, healthcare finance, Board responsibilities, medical staff relations, and how all entities are interdependent.

    • Able to think strategically in helping determine the future focus and goals of the organization.
