Work you'll do

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our development scrum teams to deliver data insights and business intelligence products, driving key business and operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Implement, performance tune, and support multiple types of databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) with a focus on PostgreSQL.

• Perform general troubleshooting and database maintenance activities, including backup and recovery, capacity planning, and managing user accounts.

• Identify and document risk areas and mitigation strategies for process and procedure activities.

• Manage schemas, indexing, objects, and partitioning of tables.

• Manage system configurations.

• Create data design models, database architecture, and data repository designs.

• Communicate effectively with all levels of management, both orally and in writing.

• Identify requirements and deliver results through strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree

• 5 years of experience in database implementation, performance tuning, and support.

• 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

• Active Top Secret security clearance.

• Must be able to work onsite in Washington DC - 4 days a week.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $109,000to $181,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
