What You Will Do
The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) in the Materials Physics and Applications (MPA) Division is seeking an outstanding postdoctoral research associate in experimental ultrafast angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy to carry out fundamental research in novel quantum materials, including 2D van-der Waal, topological, and strongly correlated materials. CINT and its associated Laboratory for Ultrafast Materials and Optical Science (LUMOS) fosters high-impact research supported by expertise spanning synthesis/fabrication, characterization, theory/modeling and ultrafast phenomena. Additional information on CINT and LUMOS can be found here at ~~~ and ~~~
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, research and development on time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy system (tr-ARPES). In addition, the postdoc will be encouraged to attend seminars that interest him/her and will be given networking opportunities within and outside the laboratory. He/She will be expected to present the work at conferences and related meetings. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ARPES or related photoemission spectroscopies, deep understanding in quantum materials, and experience investigating emergent phenomena in many-body systems using ARPES or related techniques.
