The Sikorsky RW Platform Systems team within Collins Aerospace is seeking a new grad Systems Engineer to join us! Our team is responsible for the CH-53K helicopter flight deck for the USMC. The selected engineer will come on board as a member of our platform systems engineering team and participate in avionics engineering tasks that are associated with the design, development, integration, and test of platform and software applications.
This position will be onsite, located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Support requirements capture for CH-53K cockpit avionics
Decompose and allocate requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
Support cross-functional team development with both external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams..
On-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
The full gamut of systems engineering activities from initial requirements capture all the way to supporting fielded products
How to be successful in an agile development environment
Effective use of systems engineering tools such as DOORs, JIRA, and the ALM tools suite
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment.
A basic understanding of general design or engineering change processes to successfully create, integrate, test, and deliver features in an engineering or technology environment.

Experience with test automation

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
