Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. The role involves welding in position, on a table, off of a spooler or rotator using carbon steel and stainless steel. The Pipe Welder will examine welds, read and interpret project plans, fix faults in pipework, and perform maintenance checks.

Responsibilities

• Weld in position, on a table, off of a spooler or rotator using carbon steel and stainless steel.

• Examine welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

• Read and interpret project plans and blueprints.

• Fix faults in pipework to maintain system integrity.

• Perform regular maintenance checks on welding equipment and pipework.

• Assemble piping components for installation.

• Operate forklifts, work at heights, and use overhead cranes.

• Adhere to first aid and safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in pipe welding.

• Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and Tig welding.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with flux core welding.

• Knowledge of fabrication techniques.

• Skill in welding carbon steel and stainless steel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6G welding certification.

• Experience with overhead crane and forklift operation.

• First aid certification.

• Strong understanding of industrial pipe welding processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is a well-lit and temperature-controlled shop with multiple welding cells. It can be occasionally noisy due to fitting and welding activities. The role requires availability for afternoon shifts from 2:45 PM to 1:15 AM, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays after three months. The dress code is appropriate for a welding shop environment.
