    Description:

    Relief Physiology Technician

    What You will do:

    The Physiology Technician will perform a variety of physical tests such as Electrocardiograph, ambulatory monitor hook-ups, cardiac stress tests, and others, in order to assist physicians in the determination and diagnosis of disease or dysfunction.

    What You will need

    Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of high school; college level training in physiology, anatomy or biology preferred;

    Previous experience in any listed tests or medical assistant preferred, analytical ability to preliminarily review test results and determine the need for immediate attention by physician, perform calculations;

    Interpersonal skills to interact with patients in sensitive, anxious situations explaining treatment purpose and equipment operation and thereby alleviating apprehension;

    Physical ability for frequent periods of standing and walking and to support/position patients; visual acuity to read test results and view monitor; aural acuity to monitor heart beat, doppler sounds; ability to operate a computer.

    Hours of Work:

    Variable Relief-1st shift and 2nd shift (1230-11pm)
