    CLINIC SPECIFICS

    • Multi-specialty clinic includes: 6 Family Medicine with 4 advanced practitioners with Integrated Behavioral Health, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Consultative Pediatrics, General Surgery, and visiting specialties

    • On-site Chronic Disease Management nursing support

    • Nurse Online Triage 24/7

    • EPIC integrated with Essentia system

    HOSPITALIST SPECIFICS

    • Essentia Health Virginia Hospital is an 83-bed hospital, Level IV Trauma Center and certified Stroke Ready facility

    • Staffing model of 1 Physician and 1 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on days and 1 dedicated physician nocturnist

    • Average team census 24-28 patients, includes admissions.

    • Typical 7-day on, 7-day off schedule throughout the year; 175 shifts is considered full-time. Flexible scheduling

    • Hospitalist-run ICU

    • Requires ventilator management for 24-48hrs. Critical Care consults easily accessible.

    • Additional subspecialty consults easily accessible via phone or telehealth

    • 1 hour away from Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, which is a Level I tertiary care hospital

    • Procedures not required

    • Full laboratory; radiology to include MRI and CT services

    • Additional inpatient services: General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology

    REQUIREMENTS

    • BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

    • Essentia Health to provide mentorship

    LOCATION

    • Approx. 60 miles North of Duluth, MN.

    • Service area: 30,000 - Virginia Population: 9,000

    COMPENSATION

    • $307,317 - $368,464. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
