  • Responsibilities:

    "Elizabeth Seton Children's Rehabilitation Center is an outpatient diagnostic and treatment center for children with medically complex conditions. The rehabilitation center provides comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services such as physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapies, as well as medical specialties such as orthopedics, physiatry, ophthalmology, neurology, neonatology, audiology and urology. The rehabilitation center also provides care coordination services and a therapeutic pool. The rehabilitation center is part of the Elizabeth Seton Children's family of organizations, which includes Elizabeth Seton Children's Center and Elizabeth Seton Children's School and is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Ministry Network."

    This is a Full Time position Monday - Friday 9a/5p/10a-6p Flex Sat.

    Per Diem positions also available @ $80.00 hr.

    Position responsibilities will include:

    Providing treatment for approximately 10 – 12 patients per day

    • Supervising student interns as directed by Manager

    • Conduct initial Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations

    • Develop and review patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist

    • Participate in clinical quality assurance initiatives

    • Provide patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation

    • Complete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to:

      • daily notation of therapy

      • all progress reports with updates

    • rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences

    • Develops and reviews patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist

    • Participates in clinical quality assurance initiatives

    • Provides patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation

    • Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities

    • Additional

       responsibilities that may be assigned form time to time, i.e. splinting.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

    • NYS License as a registered Physical Therapist. Must maintain license in good standing.

    Experience:

    • Experience in clinical pediatric environment

    • Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
