Position: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
Setting : Outpatient Orthopedics, Aquatics, and Vestibular
Location : NovaCare Baltimore (Pikesville) MD
Status : Full Time 40 hours

We are open to consider physical therapist assistants of all experience levels able to support a new graduate licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) with defined mentorship program.
We have a large clinical team of PTs and PTAs able to consider licensed PTAs of all experience levels. We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics with a vibrant aquatics program. Our aquatics caseload averages 25% of your full time schedule. Additional specialty services include gait and balance and vestibular on top of general orthopedics.
Schedule: Full time 40 hours treating until 730PM twice a week. Last patient is schedule an hour prior to close. A half day Saturday rotation may be asked, based on patient needs.

Responsibilities
Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
