Pharmacy Supervisor-Infusion Specialty

Job Description:

This role facilitates efforts to ensure excellent customer service on the team including the removal of barriers that impede excellent customer service as well as develop best practices in the department.

Position Details:

As a Supervisor in Pharmacy, you will serve as the liaison between the Pharmacy department and other hospital departments, supervise the Pharmacy staff and manage the day to day operations of the department. The incumbent supervises the patient care and operations of the department and collaborates with department leadership team to evaluate service needs and volumes and adjust staffing levels accordingly.

This role will work 9 hour days Monday-Thursday and 4 hours on Friday morning. No holidays or weekends are required. Some shifts during the week will be at the cancer center and some will be at the main hospital campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or Master of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.

• Current licensure by the state of practice in Pharmacy is required.

• Five (5) years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in an infusion center, oncology or acute care hospital is required.

• Completion of a PGY-1. Hospital Pharmacy Practice Residency may substitute for up to three (3) years of the required clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of leadership/management experience

• 1 or 2 years of experience in infusion services and oncology

• Experience with USP 795, 797, 800, 825, pharmacy automation, & inventory management (including controlled substances),

Physical Requirements:

Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
