  • Job Title: Pharmacist

    Job Description

    Perform duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist including reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, compounding, and accurately dispensing medication. Maintain an efficient workflow to ensure timely delivery and keep inventory and records for narcotics and similar drugs. Approve prescriptions filled by pharmacy technicians in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Conduct Drug Utilization Review (DUR) with patient medical information and perform the final check of filled prescriptions for accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Operations Manager to comply with State and Federal regulations and company policies related to controlled substances and legend drugs. Implement quality and cost containment strategies in all dispensing and procurement activities. Provide clinical expertise by addressing drug-related questions from internal and external customers and guide pharmacy associates by working closely with pharmacy management.
