    The Perfusion Technician reports to the Chief of Perfusion Services. This position assists with the preparation, setup, and cleaning of perfusion equipment before, during and after procedures. Assist with stocking and ordering of supplies, logistics, documentation, and tracking of equipment. This position requires the ability to follow detailed instruction, capacity to work independently, and willingness to learn.

    Job Description:

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Assists with set-up of perfusion equipment as directed.

    • Assists with autotransfusion set up and clean up.

    • Assists with ordering and stocking perfusion supplies as directed

    • Ensures perfusion equipment is available and ready for use when/where needed. Follows protocol for reporting equipment failures.

    • Assists and documents quality control checks of perfusion equipment.

    • Assists supply management to maintain per levels of supplies, monitors integrity of products including expiration dates, participates in evaluation of new products and supplies as needed

    • Must have initiative and ability to take appropriate action when working independently.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED. Vocational or Technical training preferred.

    • 1-3 years related work experience preferred

    • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications, Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
