Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Job Description
This role is responsible for validating Workday employee Masterfile data that transfers to ADP, ensuring the accuracy of each employee's pay and employment profile. The Senior Payroll Specialist is a hands-on, subject matter expert, leading the overall payroll processing and playing a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll and benefits administration.
Organize and manage full-cycle Canadian and U.S. Payroll and Benefits processing
Partner with the Payroll Lead to develop and implement controls, policies, and procedures to ensure payroll activities are compliant with legislation and business policies
Develop and implement payroll and benefits processing and administration structures
Preparation, processing, and maintenance of regular, special, and supplemental payrolls to ensure employee payments are accurate and timely
Review payroll processing for accuracy, identify discrepancies, make corrections, and resolve problems as necessary
Manage the preparation and ensure the accuracy of periodic payroll tax filing and remittances through ADP Smart Compliance
Manage the retirement and benefit plan carrier data and ensure accuracy and compliance with company and government regulations
Process payroll for 200+ employees in Canada (Semi-Monthly) and 1500 employees in the US (Bi-weekly & Semi-Monthly)
