    The Heart and Vascular Center is seeking a Fulltime AND Part Time, patient-focused Patient Services Specialist with excellent customer service skills. Previous customer service experience in a medical setting is required. Bilingual (Spanish and English) are preferred but not required.

    About Us

    The Heart and Vascular Center is part of Valley View Hospital. Our team is made up of world-renowned cardiologists, surgeons, physician's assistants, and nurse practitioners that work together to bring the best treatment in the region. We are a fast-paced clinic with a large team of 14 providers that range from General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery. We see patients in Glenwood, Eagle, Silt, Rifle, Meeker, Rangely and Craig. The Heart and Vascular Center also has a clinic in Grand Junction.

    GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
    1. Provides patients and physicians with professional and friendly reception duties.
    2. Organizes patient flow, checking patients in and out, keeping physicians and patients on schedule.
    3. Maintains patient appointments, demographics, and insurance in an accurate manner.
    4. Triages phone calls for the clinical staff, techs, and providers appropriately.
    5. Performs some medical record retrieval and medical record organization
    6. Schedules off of E-faxed orders, faxed orders, email, and text messaging
    7. Ability to multitask and maintain a professional demeanor
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    Skills:

    • Clerical: typing filing, scheduling, computer, phone and people skills
    • Excellent customer service; strong computer skills; outstanding communication; multitasking skills are required.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
    • Patient care background and/or medical scheduling experience required.
    SALARY RANGE
    • $19.00 to $27.75/hour (Clinic Patient Care Tech - experience only)
    • $20.00 to $28.87/hour (Clinic CNA - DORA)
    • $20.41 to $30.02 /hour (Clinic Medical Assistant - Registered/Certified)
    • Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
