    Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Service Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients in an outpatient department. In this role, you will work closely with a fantastic team, greeting and registering patients, completing necessary forms, obtaining demographic and insurance information, collecting payments, and updating account details.

    Other responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing cancellations and utilizing office equipment such as multi-line phones, copy/fax machines, and scanners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must. You will be expected to handle a minimum of 50 calls per day and respond to multiple email messages daily. You must identify, report, and resolve problems regarding registration or scheduling, directing them to the appropriate individuals and departments.

    Your role will also involve monitoring patient flow to ensure they receive care in the most efficient and courteous manner. You will assist clients with referrals to the Moraine Lakes Consortium and provide directions or help in locating wheelchair facilities if required.

    Post-visit responsibilities include checking out and scheduling follow-up appointments. You will also be expected to manage patient information and complete required forms and documentation. The ability to switch focus abruptly as necessary is a prerequisite. Thus, patience, professionalism, empathy, and ability to multi-task are crucial. Previous clinic or scheduling experience would be beneficial, but this is not a requirement.

    Other requirements for the role

    • Ability to type 40 words per minute.

    • Casual work attire allowed.
