Patient Service Representative

Description Our client, a local Healthcare company based in Alameda, CA is currently seeking a Patient Service Representative! This person will focus on:

Check-in patients, ensure that all forms and documents are completed, and schedule follow-up appointments Verify patient's insurance eligibility and explain the specifics of their benefits Meet patients needs by providing excellent customer service in a caring and detail oriented manner. Manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations Assist patients with questions regarding medical bills and payments Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and efficiency Maintain patient waiting areas, front desk area, and restock necessary items Use healthcare software systems to manage patient data and appointments Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a medical office setting Knowledge of medical billing procedures, medical codes, and insurance regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and medical software programs. Excellent customer service skills and empathetic patient care approach Ability to remain calm and detail oriented during peak hours of operation or stressful situations
