Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. Straub Clinic & Hospital's highly trained neurologists perform neurological evaluations and diagnoses for patients of all age groups. Evaluations include electrodiagnostic testing as well as topographical brain mapping. Patients with balance, equilibrium or dizziness problems are tested with special equipment, as are those with neuromuscular disorders such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis. Straub was one of the first hospitals in Hawai'i to treat stroke with TPA, a blood clot dissolving drug that has helped many patients avoid the devastating effects of stroke. Our Sleep Disorders Center is an accredited, full-service sleep center that offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to patients of all ages with sleep-related disorders such as insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, obstructive sleep apnea, heavy snoring, narcolepsy, nightmares or sleepwalking/sleeptalking.

As a Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that Straub patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at Straub. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our Neurology department and assist with a variety of administrative tasks. These include interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients' medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all professional/technical fees generated by department providers; and performing cash handling and collection. We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.
