Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Kapi'olani's Women's Center and Breast Center at Artesian Plaza is committed to providing Hawai'i's women with convenient, coordinated health care, along with the support to play an active role in their health. The wide array of services offered at this beautiful state-of-the-art center include osteoporosis screening, massage therapy, physical therapy, ultrasound, bariatric weight loss solutions, patient education, mammography and breast biopsies.

As a Patient Service Representative in our Women's Center and Breast Center at Artesian Plaza, you will help to ensure that our patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at our hospitals and clinics. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff by facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities and assisting in a variety of administrative tasks. These include interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients' medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all professional/technical fees generated by department providers; and performing cash handling and collection. We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Other information:

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Basic computer skills. One (1) year of clerical support experience in a health care setting or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic medical terminology. EPIC experience.
