    Position Purpose:

    Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Patient Observer to join our team at Saint Mary's Hospital . This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional observation and reporting of patients with a variety of medical conditions.

    What you will do:

    • This critical role performs various duties related to patient assistance and experience, patient transportation and the cleaning and stocking of the Emergency Department.

    • Responsible for constant bedside observation of patients

    • Accurate reporting of all observations made on patients.

    • Meets/greets patients/families/visitors in a pleasant manner assisting them with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay.

    • Able to show compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and transparent communication with patients and families.

    • Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    • Education: High School or equivalency certificate is required.

    • BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

    • Assault Reduction Training

    Position Highlights and Benefits:

    Part-Time: 24 hours per week, Night Shift.

    • Positions are 8-hour shifts, hours 11:00 pm to 7:30 am

    • Rotating weekends and holidays are required for all shifts.
