Job Title: Remote Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: Portland, OR (Fully Remote)

About the Opportunity

We are a growing company based in Portland, OR seeking a skilled, detail-oriented remote part-time bookkeeper. This remote position is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to balance work-life responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.

• Perform bookkeeping duties such as creating invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, and managing balance sheets and ledgers.

• Execute bank reconciliations and conduct database backups.

• Coordinate tax filing and reporting efforts.

• Work closely with our team to assist with financial reports and tracking or auditing reports as requested.

• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

• Support the CFO with miscellaneous projects as necessary.

• Calculate depreciations and maintain fixed assets schedule.

• Calculate amortization.

• Create weekly journal entries.

Requirements

Qualifications

• An associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required (a bachelor's degree is preferred).

• Proven bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with relevant accounting software (NetSuite experience is HIGHLY PREFERRED)

• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
