    The Company:

    This publicly held clinical-stage biotechnology company is focused on developing treatments for patients suffering from complex rare diseases using its novel cell penetrating peptide technology platform. Their lead product candidate, CTI-1601, is a subcutaneously administered, recombinant fusion protein intended to deliver human frataxin (FXN), an essential protein to the mitochondria of patients with Friedreich's ataxia. Friedreich's ataxia is a rare, progressive, and fatal disease in which patients are unable to produce sufficient FXN due to a genetic abnormality.

    The company has assembled an experienced management team, each of whom has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and has about 65 employees. Their management team, employees, and consultants have significant expertise in discovery, nonclinical and clinical development, regulatory affairs and the development of manufacturing processes utilizing good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

    Position:

    Paralegal/Sr. Paralegal

    Location:

    This position is based in the Bala Cynwyd, PA office. This role can maintain a flexible hybrid schedule, but is expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week and as otherwise needed for special meetings, projects, etc.

    Position Summary:

    The Paralegal/Sr. Paralegal will be a key part of Larimar's Team, providing support in various legal areas, such as contract review and management. The Paralegal/Sr. Paralegal will report to the Vice President, Legal and Compliance, but will also work closely with the Attorney and with the Associate Director, Legal and Compliance Systems. In Larimar's collaborative environment, the Paralegal/Sr. Paralegal will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple areas of the company's business and interact with team members in the company's various business units.

    • Assist Attorney with contract reviews including global clinical trial-related agreements
    • Lead execution of routine agreements, amendments and renewals
    • Guide business sponsors through the contract review process and use of the contract life cycle management system
    • Assist the contract lifecycle management system owner with administration of the system
    • Create legal policies and templates
    • Conduct legal research as requested
    • Support the Attorney with the data privacy program as requested
    • Conduct special projects as needed

    Requirements:

    Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

    • At least 3 years paralegal experience in a life sciences practice area or biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry that includes involvement in contracting (position level commensurate with applicable experience)
    • Associate's or Bachelors' degree required, or comparable experience
    • Experience with electronic contract life cycle management systems preferred
    • Ability to work independently and juggle multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Skilled at proactively identifying and addressing potential risks
    • Organized and detail-oriented
