  • Description We are in search of a Paralegal to join our team in the corporate legal sector, based in Houston, Texas. The chosen candidate will be tasked with a range of responsibilities including the review and drafting of legal documents, litigation, corporate transactions, contract maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive legal support by working closely with attorneys and various departments within the company

    • Take charge of general corporate housekeeping matters including entity formation, dissolution, foreign qualifications, and management of various business entity documents with State agencies

    • Administer regulatory compliance and ensure all legal documentation is accurate and up-to-date

    • Prepare minutes, resolutions, written consents, and officer's certificates

    • Conduct legal research, manage case files, and draft and review legal documents

    • Monitor agreements, written consents, and documents circulated for signature

    • Maintain legal files and records in compliance with department requirements and company policies and procedures

    • Assist with corporate transactions and related due diligence

    • Review and administer outside counsel legal invoices

    • Support the collection, review, and production of documents and respond to discovery requests for litigation discovery and audit-related production requirements

    • Prepare and process expense reports, code invoices, and maintain files and spreadsheets

    • Offer assistance with miscellaneous administrative tasks and special projects, including filing, copying, scanning, and file retrieval. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or similar role

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Legal matters

    • Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or related field

    • Proficient in legal research and documentation

    • Familiarity with the use of legal technology and software

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

    • Ability to meet strict deadlines
