    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Painter role is responsible for preparing and painting assembled sheet metal enclosures using an HVLP spray gun. Preparation activities include caulking, sanding, and taping units, as well as moving structures from different areas using heaving machinery. This is a key position and will ensure that the finished product is of high quality and free of any blemishes prior to shipment to our customers.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Paint assembled units using HLVP spray gun.

    • File, grind, sand, and smooth assembled or welded surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. 

    • Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers and finish coatings. 

    • Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes. 

    • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths. 

    • Manage time, tasks, and workflows independently with little supervision. 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

    • 1-2 years’ relevant painting experience (required) 3-5 years is preferred.

    • Experience painting in a production/metal fabrication facility highly desired 

    • Experience using HVLP spray guns.

    • Proven attention to details, the small things matter.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

    • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day. 

    • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. 

    • Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.

    • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

    • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day. 

    • Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds. 

    • Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

    NOTE

    As part of the final interview candidates will be invited to perform an observed spray application process before an offer of employment is made.
