Packaging operator

Our client, A Steel Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Forklift operator to join their team. As a Forklift operator, you will be part of the Shipping Department supporting Inventory and material distribution in the facility. The ideal candidate will have Forklift experience, strong work ethic and organized skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Steel coil packager

Location: Sterling Heights

Pay Range: $18/hr

What's the Job?

• Drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane to pull and move coils and skids within the warehouse, safely

• Band and package material for shipping according to customer requirements

• Measure dimensions and gauge material with micrometer.

• Generate inventory tags to be placed on material being received & enter inventory tag data into computer system

• Stage material for shipping according to bill of ladings & Maintain shipping supplies

What's Needed?

• Computer skills

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to calculate numbers and data

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction

• Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
